A fortunate change in the weather brought smiles to the faces or the organizers of today’s SOS Save Our Services Rally (Sunday, July25, 2021). The Rally was sponsored by the Schenectady Coalition for Health Care Access (click for the informative Rally Flyer, and see their Facebook site). Veterans’ Park looked great and the crowd was enthusiastic.

Along with the loss of many important services outlined at the Rally, the slow-motion merger will surely harm competition for better quality and more health care choices across the Capital Region. Click on thumbnail to the left.
- Follow-up (Sunday night, July 25, 2021): News Channel 10 [WTEN] did a segment on the 11 PM News tonight about the SOS Rally. Click here for the video, “Community members share concerns about possible healthcare system merger”. They also showed a statement from Ellis in which they promise, not to let the community participate in discussions about how this rolling merger unfolds, but merely to “keeping everyone updated as we move along.” [note: i apologize if this link was missing on your first visit here.]
